AZ Chike is seeing his latest run of live shows gain momentum, announcing that four upcoming dates on his No Rest for the Wicked Tour have sold out while his Chicago stop is reportedly approaching capacity.
The Inglewood, California, rapper shared the update on Instagram Stories on Monday, October 12, thanking fans for showing up to support his music on the road.
“Next 4 sold out & they telling me Chicago at 80%. Words can’t explain what it feel like to get out here & connect with y’all & rap this album together,” Chike wrote.
He also described the simplicity of his live setup, adding that it was just him, a microphone and his DJ onstage. The rapper said he would remember the experience and told fans he was looking forward to performing in North Carolina.
The 20-city tour began October 5 in Houston, Texas, giving Chike an opportunity to bring his music directly to audiences across the country. His latest update suggests that demand is building as the tour progresses, although the names of the four sold-out shows were not specified in the supplied report.
The tour also arrives as Chike benefits from increased attention surrounding his appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX album.
During an October 7 performance in Dallas, Texas, Chike acknowledged that some listeners first discovered his music through “Peekaboo,” the Lamar track on which he appeared.
“I know a lot of people first found about me through GNX’s ‘Peekaboo.’ Make some noise for my brother Kendrick Fuckin’ Lamar,” he told the crowd.
Chike also addressed speculation about what would happen to Los Angeles artists following the success of GNX, framing the moment as an opportunity to keep building his career rather than a final achievement.
“And, unfortunately, for a lot of people it was game over, but for Chizzle, it was game time,” he said.
The comments reflected his determination to turn the exposure into something more lasting. Instead of relying solely on the attention generated by a high-profile album appearance, the ongoing tour allows him to develop a direct connection with fans and demonstrate his own catalog onstage.
His stripped-down performance format also puts the focus on the music and the audience, with Chike describing the experience as an opportunity to rap his album alongside listeners.
With four upcoming dates reportedly sold out and Chicago at 80% in ticket sales, the rapper has reason to be encouraged by the response. The figures come from Chike’s own social media update, rather than a published tour-wide ticket report.
For now, the No Rest for the Wicked Tour continues, with Chike aiming to build on the momentum one city at a time.
