With downtown Los Angeles rocked by some of the most intense ICE-related protests the city has ever seen, tensions are sky-high as the red carpet rolls out for one of entertainment’s biggest nights. BET Speaks Out: “The Show Must Go On”
In an exclusive statement to TMZ Hip Hop, a rep for BET addressed growing concerns over the safety of guests, artists, and crew amidst the unrest:
“We are committed to ensuring the safety of our guests and staff for culture’s biggest night. We are actively monitoring the situation and working closely with LAPD.”
The message is clear: the show will go on—but under serious police supervision.
