The drama surrounding Erik Menendez continues to heat up. After a California parole board denied Erik’s release, his daughter Talia Menendez took to Instagram with an unfiltered and furious rant, targeting celebrities she says have stayed silent amid her family’s fight for freedom.
In a series of Instagram Story posts Thursday night, Talia warned that “Hell is about to break loose” and called the parole board “money hungry media feeding pieces of trash.”
Talia Calls Out Silent Celebrities
Several of Talia’s posts were colorful and direct, criticizing unnamed celebrities who she claims have been too quiet about Erik and his brother Lyle’s parole journey. One caption read:
“To the ones that went to the prison without any background checks to film their show but are staying quiet now … You despise me beyond measure … Just say your views are down and keep it PUSHING.”

While Talia didn’t directly name names, the context points to high-profile figures like Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kris Jenner, who visited the Menendez brothers at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County in September 2024 to discuss prison reform.
The following month, Kim wrote an essay for NBC News, asserting that Erik and Lyle Menendez “are not monsters” and that their life sentences should be reconsidered.

Praise for ‘Monsters’ Actor Cooper Koch
Talia also singled out Cooper Koch, who portrays Erik in Ryan Murphy’s “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.” She offered nothing but praise for him, highlighting her appreciation for the actor’s support during the family’s parole battles.

Parole Board Reaction
Talia didn’t hold back in criticizing Board of Parole Hearings Commissioner Robert Barton, overlaying his photo with clown emojis and labeling him a “coward” and “disgrace.”
During the hearing, Barton cited Erik’s multiple rule violations over his years in prison and described it as “disturbing” that supporters consider him a model prisoner. Despite the denial, Erik was told he will be eligible for parole again in 3 years.
This decision comes after a California judge converted the Menendez brothers’ sentences from life without parole to 50 years to life with the possibility of parole, marking a historic shift in the infamous case.
What’s Next? Lyle Menendez’s Hearing
Erik’s parole denial doesn’t end the saga. Lyle Menendez’s hearing is set to begin Friday, and all eyes will be on the board’s decision. Fans, media outlets, and the Menendez family are anticipating another emotional and controversial session.
