Fyre Fest 2 is officially back on, and this time, Antonio Brown is bringing his rap game to the stage. The former Pittsburgh Steelers superstar, who has become a viral sensation with his music, announced Thursday that he will perform at the highly anticipated, and somewhat controversial, sequel to the infamous Fyre Festival.
Brown, whose hit single “Put That S*** On” made waves in 2022, confirmed his participation in a video obtained by TMZ Sports, urging fans to get ready for the event when it kicks off on May 30, 2025, in Mexico. “Be there or be square,” Brown declared, adding a playful note, “and make sure you put that s*** on.”
Billy McFarland, the mastermind behind the original Fyre Festival disaster, teased the return of the event back in 2022, and announced the plans for its grand comeback in Spring 2025. However, there has been some controversy surrounding the festival’s legitimacy, with reports suggesting that the Isla Mujeres tourism board in Mexico was unaware of McFarland’s plans. Despite the speculation, McFarland recently took to Instagram to reaffirm that Fyre Fest 2 is a go, calling all the doubts “noise” and insisting that everything is moving forward as planned.
Sources close to the event revealed that Brown isn’t the only big name set to take the stage. Several other acts have reportedly signed on, and many will be taking the experience to the next level by leading unique activities for festival-goers, such as whale shark excursions, MMA training sessions, ATV adventures, and beach football games — with Brown himself expected to participate in some of the action.
With less than two months until the festival is set to begin, excitement (and skepticism) is building. If Fyre Fest 2 lives up to its promises, it could be the next big event of the year — but fans are advised to pack their sunscreen, just in case.
