Attorneys Fire Back at Kanye West’s Call for Diddy’s Release

Diddy 1 Diddy 1

Sean “Diddy” Combs may have the full support of Kanye West, who has publicly demanded his release from prison, but several high-profile attorneys handling lawsuits against Diddy strongly disagree with Ye’s stance.

Legal Pushback Against Kanye’s Demands

TMZ spoke with three attorneys—Tony Buzbee, Lisa Bloom, and Tyrone Blackburn—who all criticized Kanye’s call for Diddy’s release from an NYC detention facility.

As widely known, this trio of lawyers has filed multiple lawsuits against Diddy on behalf of alleged victims, accusing him of rape, sex trafficking, and sexual abuse spanning decades.

Tony Buzbee’s Response

Buzbee, who represents dozens of Diddy accusers, was direct in his response, stating that Diddy should “absolutely not” be allowed to walk free from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

Buzbee emphasized that Diddy’s bail has been denied multiple times, reinforcing the judge’s stance that Combs should remain behind bars while he awaits trial. Diddy was arrested last September and charged with federal offenses, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite the charges, Diddy has denied any wrongdoing.

Tyrone Blackburn’s Scathing Criticism of Kanye

Blackburn, who represents ex-Diddy producer Rodney Jones and several other accusers, dismissed Kanye’s plea, calling it a “foolhardy request.”

Taking things further, Blackburn criticized Kanye personally, suggesting that Ye “needs to take medication” and “stop exploiting his wife.” He also remarked that Kanye’s late mother would be rolling over in her grave, a deeply personal jab aimed at the rapper.

Lisa Bloom Joins the Criticism

Renowned attorney Lisa Bloom, who represents Dawn Richard and other alleged victims of Diddy, echoed Blackburn’s sentiments.

Bloom used the same phrase as Blackburn, stating “birds of a feather flock together” to describe Kanye’s public defense of Diddy.

Diddy and Kanye Yet to Respond

Despite the growing backlash, representatives for both Diddy and Kanye have yet to issue any official statement regarding the attorneys’ harsh criticisms.

With Diddy’s legal troubles mounting, and Kanye inserting himself into the controversy, this battle between hip-hop royalty and the legal system is far from over.
