“This Guy Always Had Resentment for Me”—Offset Also Jumps In

Drake isn’t staying silent after T-Pain threw subtle shade about his long-running presence in music. The 6 God took to Instagram to respond after T-Pain’s comments on the Crash Dummies podcast began going viral—and now fans are caught in a new wave of hip-hop tension.

“This guy always had resentment for me 😂,” Drake wrote on IG.
“You can hear it every time he speaks on my name.”

🎙️ T-Pain Calls Out Drake for Ignoring His Own Advice

On a recent episode of Crash Dummies, T-Pain opened up about what he learned from Drake—but he couldn’t help pointing out that Drake isn’t following his own words.

“Drake said, ‘I wanna be one of them people that gracefully bow out and not get kicked out,’” T-Pain said.
“But he ain’t done that. He’s like, ‘Wait! You didn’t like that one? Hold up, I got another.’”

The Buy U a Drank hitmaker claimed he chose to leave the spotlight on his own terms and wished Drake would do the same, hinting the Toronto rapper was holding on too long.

👀 Offset Defends Drake: “This is Diabolical!”

T-Pain’s remarks didn’t just get a reaction from Drake. Fellow rapper Offset came to Drake’s defense in the comments section of a Complex post covering the drama:

“Da Boy is da boy. Sh*t ain’t gone change,” Offset wrote.
“All dat hating on another grown man who do more numbers than everybody is diabolical!!!!”

Offset’s comment lit up social media, with fans split between defending Drake’s continued dominance and siding with T-Pain’s critique of overstaying your welcome.

📼 The Conversation That Sparked It All

T-Pain was referencing a 2023 conversation between Drake and Lil Yachty, where Drake hinted at stepping away from music at the top of his game:

“I think I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit,” Drake told Yachty during their interview.
“Sometimes it baffles you—why are people still making attempts to be present in the space?”

He continued:

“Their soul was probably fed for so long off of being the guy that they can’t let it go.”

But according to T-Pain, Drake hasn’t followed through—still releasing music, dominating charts, and keeping a foot in every lane.

📊 Fans React: Respect or Resentment?

Social media is ablaze with hot takes on the dust-up:

  • “T-Pain ain’t lying. Drake been talking about retiring since Scorpion and still dropping every month,” one user tweeted.
  • “Drake BEEN that guy. T-Pain needs to chill—nobody’s mad he’s still dropping heat,” another fired back.

Some fans are even speculating whether this could snowball into a bigger rift or musical response, especially as Drake preps what could be another major release in the coming months.

🎯 Final Thoughts: Is Drake Still in His Prime?

While some say Drake’s reign is overdue for a graceful exit, others argue he’s simply evolving with the culture. Whether he’s still chasing “one more hit” or just not ready to let go of being the top dog, the 6 God clearly isn’t leaving quietly.

“Let me try one more,” T-Pain joked on the podcast.
But Drake’s numbers suggest fans still want more.

💬 What do you think? Is T-Pain right, or is Drake still running the game?
