In a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, Ben Affleck revealed that one of the most memorable moments of his 52 years on Earth was the time he ran football routes for Tom Brady.
A Star-Studded Training Session
The “Accountant 2” star was reminiscing about a vacation moment where he and Brady spent some time together. As the conversation unfolded on the podcast, the Kelce brothers asked Affleck to share more about his one-on-one training session with the GOAT, and Affleck couldn’t help but laugh as he described the experience.
According to Affleck, this was a day to remember — ranking right up there with the birth of his children in terms of importance. Affleck didn’t hold back when it came to showing his excitement, admitting that this session was an unforgettable highlight of his life.
“To this day, aside from the birth of my children, that was the greatest day of my life,” he shared.
An Entertaining Play-by-Play
While Affleck admitted he wasn’t sure how much help he was to Brady, he made sure to describe the training in hilarious detail, bringing the story to life.
“Alright, run as fast as I can, turn around,” Affleck recalled. “I fix to look at him, he’s been waiting 45 minutes. I caught it because I was afraid of breaking my nose more than anything else.”
The comic timing continued as he described their final play together. Brady, who was known for his cool, collected composure on the field, pretended it was a crucial moment in the Super Bowl — a fourth-down, 23-second scenario with the game on the line.
“I’m like wondering when’s this ball going to show up. And I look, I just feel like right out in front of me. And it was a little far for me. I think he probably adjusted back, and I reach out and I have to go all out extend, I f**ing catch it.”*
Feeling Like a Champion
After catching the ball, Affleck joked about the intensity of the moment, saying it felt so real that he thought he had just won a Super Bowl championship. The Kelce brothers, who were clearly hyped by the story, cheered him on, loving every moment of Affleck’s humorous recount.
“It was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me,” Affleck said of Brady’s gesture.
Brady’s Legendary Physique
Despite Tom Brady’s official retirement from the NFL, the 47-year-old quarterback is still in incredible shape. The Kelce brothers even joked that if Affleck and Brady linked up again, they might just dominate the flag football circuit. Given Brady’s continued physical fitness and Affleck’s newfound football prowess, the duo might be a force to be reckoned with — even off the field.
