Benzino has responded to 50 Cent after the rapper posted a viral video implying the former Source publisher was suicidal. The footage, shared on Instagram on December 18th, shows Benzino on the floor, tearfully holding a knife while asking his girlfriend, Ashley Bell, to call the police. 50 Cent captioned the post: “Benzino caught on video, by his girlfriend Ashley Bell threatening to unalive him self with a knife because she called the cops for him allegedly beating her.”
Benzino Denies Allegations
Benzino was quick to address the controversy, claiming the video was taken out of context. “First and foremost, I just want to let everybody know I’m okay,” he clarified in a statement. “Second of all, that was a rehearsal for a Tubi movie. My girl was helping me out. We was doing a script reading, and that was a rehearsal. I would never ever put my hands on any woman. I’ve never done that in my life. That’s for cowards, and I surely wouldn’t do anything to hurt myself.”
Clapping Back at 50 Cent
Taking aim directly at 50 Cent, Benzino had some choice words. “Thanks, Curtis, for promoting me. Keep on posting me, that’s dope. I’m in the gym heavy, benching 315. What you doing, Curtis?” He also teased his upcoming projects in the caption, mentioning roles in Bloodline 2 and It’s Morning, both set to release in 2025.
