Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is in hot water after being arrested Saturday in Florida on a domestic violence charge, TMZ Sports has learned.
The 21-year-old former Ohio State star and 2025 CFP National Champion was booked into Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale and is currently behind bars.
Details of the Arrest Remain Unclear
According to jail records, Judkins is facing a charge of “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence.” Authorities have not yet released details about the alleged incident or the victim’s identity.
Judkins was taken into custody earlier in the day and has not posted bond as of Saturday evening.
The Cleveland Browns confirmed they are “aware of the situation” and are “gathering more information” regarding their second-round pick’s arrest.
From Star Running Back to Legal Trouble
Judkins has been one of the most talked-about rookies in this year’s draft class.
- 🏈 At Ole Miss: SEC Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American in 2022.
- 🏆 Conerly Trophy Winner: Awarded to Mississippi’s top college football player.
- 🔥 At Ohio State: Transferred in 2024 and helped lead the Buckeyes to a National Championship, rushing for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns in the title game.
The 6’0”, 221-pound back was selected 36th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by Cleveland. Judkins was enthusiastic about joining the Browns, saying:
“What better place to be than here in Cleveland? Especially being a Buckeye. So many fans from Columbus are Browns fans. Still feels like home.”
What’s Next for Judkins?
Judkins’ arrest is the latest off-field issue to hit the Browns, a franchise that’s faced scrutiny in recent years for how it handles players with legal problems.
It’s unclear if Judkins will face discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy, which applies to players even during the offseason.
