Casey Anthony, the infamous figure at the center of one of America’s most polarizing murder trials, is making headlines once again—this time for launching a new career as a legal advocate. But not everyone is convinced her intentions are noble.

Retired Judge Belvin Perry Jr., who presided over her 2011 trial, isn’t buying it. According to Perry, Anthony is only stepping into the legal world for two reasons: attention and financial gain.

A New Chapter or a Cash Grab?

After years of staying largely out of the public eye, Casey Anthony has resurfaced with a surprising announcement—she is now offering legal guidance to people seeking help with their cases. Through a paid subscription model on Substack, Anthony is charging fans $10 a month or $100 a year to access her legal insights. However, Judge Perry is skeptical, telling TMZ that this new venture is more about boosting her public profile than genuinely helping others.

“Casey has been out of the spotlight for quite some time, and she’s clearly craving attention,” Perry stated. “This is just another way for her to make money off her notoriety.”

Controversy Over Legal Advice

One of the biggest concerns surrounding Anthony’s new career path is whether she is qualified to offer legal advice. Judge Perry emphasized that only licensed attorneys who have passed the bar should be providing legal counsel. If Anthony oversteps her boundaries, it could constitute the unauthorized practice of law, which is illegal in many states.

Despite this, Perry believes that Anthony will still find an audience for her new business venture. “There’s a sucker born every minute,” he said, predicting that conspiracy theorists, fringe followers, and curious onlookers will likely subscribe to her Substack.

Casey Anthony’s TikTok Debut

To promote her latest endeavor, Anthony has also launched a TikTok account. In her first video, she explained that her experience in the spotlight following her own criminal trial has motivated her to turn what some view as a curse into a blessing.

Anthony claims that her unique perspective—having been at the center of one of the most highly publicized trials in history—gives her special insight into the legal system that she can now use to help others.

A Trial That Captivated the Nation

Casey Anthony first became a household name in 2008 when her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, was reported missing. Months later, the toddler’s remains were discovered in a wooded area near the family’s home in Orlando, Florida. What followed was a media circus unlike any other, culminating in a trial that gripped the nation.

In July 2011, Anthony was acquitted of murder, manslaughter, and child abuse charges, though she was convicted on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement. The verdict sparked widespread outrage, with many believing she had gotten away with murder.

During his interview with TMZ, Judge Perry pointed out an important distinction: the jury found Casey Anthony “not guilty,” but they did not find her “innocent.”

Public Reaction and Lingering Skepticism

Anthony’s attempt to rebrand herself as a legal advocate has drawn mixed reactions from the public. Many are questioning her credibility, while others see it as a desperate attempt to capitalize on her notoriety. Social media has been flooded with criticism, with users expressing skepticism over whether she has any real legal knowledge to offer.

Legal experts have also weighed in, warning that individuals seeking legal help should be wary of receiving advice from someone with no formal training in law.

The Bigger Picture

Casey Anthony’s new career move raises broader questions about the ethics of profiting from notoriety. Should someone with such a controversial past be allowed to step into the legal advocacy space? And more importantly, will the public be willing to pay for her so-called expertise?

For now, Anthony appears determined to push forward with her new venture, despite the backlash. Whether her Substack subscription model will be a success remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—she continues to be one of the most polarizing figures in modern American history.

Final Thoughts

As the world watches Casey Anthony’s latest reinvention, many remain unconvinced that her motives are pure. While she claims to be using her past experiences to help others, critics argue that this is just another chapter in a long history of questionable decisions.

With her TikTok presence growing and her Substack subscriptions now open, only time will tell if the public is willing to buy what she’s selling—literally and figuratively.
