Country music artist Conner Smith is at the center of a heartbreaking incident in Nashville, where a 77-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle he was driving over the weekend.
According to law enforcement sources, the 23-year-old singer was driving a Chevy Silverado northbound on 3rd Avenue around 7:30 PM on Sunday, when he struck Dorothy Dobbins, who was legally crossing in a marked crosswalk.

Dobbins was quickly rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center, but sadly succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving. Authorities say Conner failed to yield to the pedestrian, which could prove to be a key factor in the case.

Police confirm that Smith showed no signs of impairment, and there’s no evidence of phone use or distraction. While no charges have been filed as of now, the case remains under active investigation.
