No Injuries Reported, Crew Praised for Quick Response
A Delta spokesperson confirmed the plane was carrying 200 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and 2 pilots. Miraculously, no injuries were reported thanks to swift action by the flight crew and emergency personnel.
“The flight crew followed all standard safety procedures after observing flames coming from the tailpipe of one of the engines,” Delta stated.
Passengers Rebooked, Treated to Food and Drinks
After the evacuation, passengers were escorted back to the terminal, where Delta offered complimentary meals and beverages while making arrangements to continue the journey with a replacement aircraft.
