Sean “Diddy” Combs is officially fighting back against new sex trafficking charges as he prepares for a high-profile criminal trial set to begin on May 12. On April 14, the hip-hop mogul entered a not guilty plea in Manhattan federal court in response to a superseding indictment that adds fresh allegations to his already explosive case.

New Accusations Emerge: “Victim-2” & Cross-State Trafficking

The updated indictment claims that from 2021 to 2024, Diddy used coercion and force to compel a woman—referred to as “Victim-2”—to engage in commercial sex acts. The court documents also allege that Diddy transported this woman and others across state lines for prostitution, painting a dark picture of exploitation hidden behind a lavish lifestyle.

Diddy’s legal team pushed back hard, stating:

“These allegations are not new. The individuals mentioned were former partners, and the relationships were entirely consensual.”

They argue the case is being fueled by public narratives and claim no crimes were committed.

Cassie’s Testimony Could Be the Turning Point

Among the four women set to testify, Cassie Ventura—Diddy’s ex-girlfriend and the first to accuse him publicly—is likely to be the most pivotal voice in the courtroom. Cassie, referred to as “Victim-1” in the indictment, will reportedly testify in person.

In November 2023, Cassie shocked the world with a lawsuit accusing Diddy of rape, abuse, and sex trafficking during their relationship. Though the suit was quickly settled out of court, prosecutors are now using many of her claims as part of the criminal investigation.

Diddy Speaks Out: “I’m In a Sad Position”

In a private conversation with Ye (Kanye West), Diddy broke his silence, saying:

“This situation is unfortunate, and I find myself in a sad position. I am determined to regain my freedom and focus on happiness and family.”

Despite the public scrutiny and legal pressure, Diddy has remained adamant in denying all allegations of abuse or coercion.

What’s Next? May 12 Trial Date Looms

As the trial date approaches, eyes are on how the prosecution builds its case—with Cassie’s live testimony expected to send shockwaves. Diddy’s defense is bracing for a long, public battle that could redefine his legacy in the music and business worlds.
