Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe is speaking publicly for the first time following the tragic death of his fiancée, Kimberly Burch, who fell overboard during an ’80s-themed cruise earlier this year.

In an emotional appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk, Downe described the heartbreak of losing Burch, placing the blame on addiction, saying her death was “alcohol and prescription-related.

“I loved the hell out of her,” Downe said, brushing off critics who’ve attacked him since the incident.

A Tragic Fall After an Argument

Burch fell from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in March, shortly after a reported argument with Downe. While Downe didn’t provide specific details about the argument, he acknowledged the emotional toll the incident has taken on him and insisted there was no malicious intent.

Burch’s mother, Carnell, told media she didn’t believe her daughter intended to harm herself, but confirmed Kimberly had been drinking earlier that night.

Surveillance Footage Reveals Final Moments

Sources close to the investigation say Miami-Dade authorities are in possession of surveillance footage that shows Burch climbing over the ship’s rail and stepping off — suggesting a deliberate act, though circumstances remain unclear.

Backlash and Tour Life

Since Kimberly’s death, Downe says he has faced public backlash, likely due to reports of their argument just before the fatal fall. Still, he insists their love was genuine and deep.

Despite his grief, the Faster Pussycat singer is continuing to perform, with three tour dates in Texas this week before heading to the Midwest. He says the stage has become a form of therapy as he copes with the loss.

“She’s gone, but she’s still with me,” he said, making it clear that Burch’s memory is deeply woven into his ongoing journey.
