Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have officially ironed out most of their divorce terms — but one major issue still has them at odds: their daughter’s education.
Divorce Finalized, But Custody School Dispute Continues
According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, the former couple has reached a divorce settlement with the help of a mediator. The terms include a 50/50 custody arrangement for their 5-year-old daughter, Juno, along with Joshua agreeing to pay $2,787/month in child support. No spousal support will be paid monthly, as the couple agreed on a lump sum payment.
However, things remain tense when it comes to Juno’s elementary school.
Turner-Smith Pushes for New School, Jackson Resists
In documents filed by powerhouse divorce attorney Laura Wasser, Jodie claims she wants to enroll Juno in a new school next year — one she thoroughly researched, discussed with Joshua, and ensured was within close proximity to his home.
Despite that, she says Joshua is refusing to agree, prompting her to ask a judge to enforce a court order granting her the authority to make educational decisions.
She is also asking the court to order Joshua to cover $75,000 in legal fees related to the school dispute.
A Love Story That Moved Quickly — and Ended Quietly
The couple met in 2018 at Joshua’s birthday party, got engaged shortly after, and tied the knot in secret with a wedding license filed at the Beverly Hills courthouse. Turner-Smith officially filed for divorce in October 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.
