Los Angeles, CA – Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford took a brutal hit in Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, but according to his wife Kelly Stafford, the blow below the belt had a surprising silver lining… at least for her!
On her latest episode of “The Morning After” podcast, Kelly shared the hilarious story behind the third-quarter incident, revealing how Matthew described the painful moment.
“He goes back in [to the game], thank goodness, and after the game, I’m like, ‘Hey, what was going on? Like, are you OK?’” Kelly recalled.
“He was like, ‘Yeah, I got my nuts crushed.’”

Ouch! That sounds excruciating, but Kelly saw the humor in the situation.
“I looked at him and was like, ‘Well, you know what, that’s God’s way of taking care of your vasectomy since you haven’t done it in the last two years. So thank you, Jesus!’” she said, laughing.
“Praise God! Vasectomy doesn’t even need to be needed right now ‘cause God took care of it.”

Family Life
Matthew, 37, and Kelly, 36, have four daughters together: twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, and youngest Tyler, born June 2020. Balancing football season with family life is no joke, and Kelly has previously opened up about the stress of parenting four children.
Months ago, she admitted to using weed gummies and wine to help manage the chaos of motherhood, proving she knows how to handle high-pressure situations—both on and off the field.
So, in the Stafford household, a painful hit on the field can become a hilarious parenting-themed joke, giving fans a glimpse into their playful dynamic.

Rams vs. Eagles
The hit came during the Rams’ Sunday matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, a game that ended in a tough loss for Stafford’s team. Despite the injury scare, Matthew returned to the game, showing resilience and dedication that fans have come to expect from the veteran quarterback.
Kelly’s humorous take has already made waves on social media, with fans praising her ability to turn a painful and tense moment into a laugh-out-loud family story.

“Only Kelly Stafford could make a football injury sound like divine intervention,” one fan wrote on X.
