Kobe and Gigi Bryant Mural Restored After Vandalism – Thanks to Luka Doncic’s Support

The Kobe and Gigi Bryant memorial mural in downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) is shining once again — thanks in part to Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who contributed $5,000 toward its restoration after it was defaced last month.

The beloved tribute, which depicts Kobe cradling a baby Gigi with the Los Angeles skyline in the background and the words “Mamba Forever,” had been vandalized with white paint and graffiti — allegedly part of a brewing feud between local street artists.

Street Artist Beef Led to Defacement

The mural, created by artist Sloe Motions, appeared to be deliberately targeted. The vandal covered the artwork and defaced Sloe’s tag with hostile messages such as:

“Keep running your mouth, p***y.”

That message was later crossed out and replaced with another:

“Leave a name, p***y! Don’t be scared.”

Luka Doncic Steps In to Help

After the mural was damaged, Sloe Motions launched a fundraiser to cover the cost of materials for restoring the piece. Thanks to a generous donation of $5,000 from Luka Doncic, along with contributions from other supporters, the campaign raised nearly $6,000 in total.

This week, the mural was officially restored — once again serving as a beautiful and emotional tribute to the late Lakers legend and his daughter.

Fans Hope It Stays Untouched

The mural has become a cultural landmark in DTLA, attracting fans, tourists, and basketball lovers from around the world. The community is now hoping the artistic feud has ended, and that the tribute remains untouched and respected for years to come.
