Renowned Ugandan media personality and music promoter MC Kats has sent a stern warning to National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine, urging him to restrain his supporters from attacking him and his family.
MC Kats, who has been open about his HIV status, expressed frustration over what he described as relentless online abuse from a section of NUP supporters, particularly the so-called “foot soldiers.”
In an emotionally charged statement, MC Kats accused these supporters of weaponizing his health status for political attacks. He revealed that the harassment has intensified ahead of the upcoming elections, with some NUP loyalists allegedly targeting him and his loved ones.
MC Kats’ Direct Message to Bobi Wine
Addressing Bobi Wine directly, MC Kats emphasized that he has remained silent about a “big secret” between them but could be forced to speak out if the attacks persist.
“With all due respect, Mr. Bobi Wine, between me and you, you know there’s a very big secret, and I have never said it.”
The seasoned TV personality issued a warning, stating that if NUP supporters continued dragging his children, family, and HIV status into their political battles, he would have nothing left to lose and would take drastic action.
“If your boys bring back my kids, my family, and my HIV status in the upcoming elections, me I have nothing to lose—I am as good as dead.”
Political and Social Media Fallout
MC Kats’ comments have sparked a heated debate online, with some netizens calling for NUP supporters to stop the attacks, while others remain skeptical about the alleged “secret” he threatened to reveal.
Meanwhile, Bobi Wine has yet to respond publicly to MC Kats’ allegations, leaving many wondering what could have triggered such a strong reaction from the outspoken media figure.
This developing story continues to raise concerns about cyberbullying, political intolerance, and the use of personal health information as a weapon in Uganda’s political discourse.
