Renowned Rwandan artist Bruce “Melody” Itahiwacu has expressed his admiration for Ugandan music legend Juliana Kanyomozi and his desire to collaborate with her on a music project.
Juliana Kanyomozi, celebrated for her rich catalog of hits and collaborations with top East African artists, remains one of the region’s most iconic songstresses.
A Long-Awaited Dream
While in Uganda for a headline performance at a comedy show, Bruce Melody revealed that he has previously approached Juliana about a potential collaboration but was unable to secure her due to her busy schedule.
“I’m looking for a female artist. I tried to approach Juliana (Kanyomozi), but she was busy, something happened. Right now, I am in Kampala. Juliana, oliwa?” Bruce said, calling out to the iconic singer.
He added that he has met other top Ugandan female artists, including Vinka, Azawi, and Winnie Nwagi, but collaborating with Juliana remains a priority.

Bruce Melody is no stranger to collaborations with Ugandan artists, having worked with Sheebah Karungi on the hit “Embeera Zo”. His passion for creating cross-border music continues to strengthen cultural ties within the region.
