Houston rapper Sauce Walka, born Albert Walker Mondane, was shot in Memphis on Saturday afternoon, but sources close to the artist have confirmed that he is alive and expected to recover.
According to TMZ, Sauce Walka was among two men shot outside a hotel near the FedExForum, a popular entertainment and sports venue in downtown Memphis.
Sauce Walka Hospitalized After Leg Injury
The rapper was struck in the leg and is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. His family has assured fans that he is expected to make a full recovery. Reports indicate that Sauce Walka was not the intended target of the shooting.
Unfortunately, another man who was with the rapper at the time of the incident did not survive. Authorities have yet to release his identity.
