While the official story pins Dr. Conrad Murray as the man behind Michael Jackson’s 2009 death from a fatal dose of propofol, a new TMZ documentary says that’s only part of the story.

“TMZ Investigates: Who REALLY Killed Michael Jackson” dives deep into the late pop icon’s final years — unearthing what the outlet claims is a web of enabling doctors and long-term medical mismanagement that ultimately led to his tragic demise.

A Network of Enablers

The documentary focuses on the role of Dr. Arnold Klein, Jackson’s former dermatologist and a high-profile Beverly Hills figure. Klein, who passed away in 2015, is accused of providing Jackson with dangerously high amounts of prescription medication over many years — a practice former staffers, including Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe, say was well known.

Rowe, who worked closely with Klein, makes a startling claim in the film: she witnessed Jackson being pumped with painkillers and other meds in what she described as a “dangerous pattern.”

Inside the Investigation

Orlando Martinez, the lead LAPD detective in the Jackson death case, also appears in the documentary, giving rare insight into the behind-the-scenes findings that never made it to court.

TMZ suggests that Dr. Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, was just the final link in a long chain of medical professionals who played a role in Jackson’s health spiraling out of control.
