Just 13 days into the federal criminal trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, the case took a political turn — with former President Donald Trump now inserting himself into the high-profile proceedings.

During a White House press stop on Friday, Trump was asked by Fox News if he would consider pardoning Diddy should the rapper and entrepreneur be convicted on the multiple criminal charges he currently faces.

????️ Trump’s response? “I’ll consider it.”
He added that he would need to “look at the case and the facts” before making a decision, hinting that if he believed Diddy was being treated unfairly, clemency could be on the table.

Diddy’s Defense Yet to Present Full Case

While Trump’s comment raised eyebrows, many legal experts and observers called it premature, as prosecutors are still presenting their case and Diddy’s team has not yet delivered its full defense.

So far, Diddy’s legal team, led by Brian Steel, has only been cross-examining witnesses, attempting to discredit accusations and poke holes in the prosecution’s narrative.

Former Assistant Testifies as “Mia”

Only one witness took the stand on Friday — a former female assistant of Diddy’s who testified under the pseudonym “Mia.” She dropped major bombshells about her experience working for Combs, revealing:

  • She received a $400,000 severance payout after 9 months of mediation with Diddy.
  • Her legal team originally demanded $10 million.
  • She did not disclose sexual assault allegations during settlement talks.

However, once on the stand, she spoke openly about alleged sexual assaults by Diddy, saying she withheld those claims during negotiations due to fear and trauma.

Social Media Posts Spark Cross-Examination Fire

Diddy’s defense attorney, Brian Steel, grilled Mia on the stand, pointing to a series of glowing social media posts she made about Diddy over the years — posts that seemed to contradict her claims of abuse.

Mia explained to the court:

“Social media is for the good. I never posted about the bad.”

Steel pressed her further, even asking if she was fabricating the sexual assault allegations.
Mia stood firm:

“No, I’m telling the truth.”

She is expected to return Monday for continued cross-examination.

Diddy’s Inner Circle Holds Strong — Quietly

Although no celebrity friends have shown up in court to support Diddy, his longtime friend Charlucci Finney spoke to TMZ and confirmed the Bad Boy boss is holding up well.

“He’s got a tight, small support system — just family and lawyers,” Finney said. “He’s doing good.”

What’s Next?

As the trial continues, all eyes remain on:

  • Mia’s next testimony and whether her allegations hold under cross-examination
  • Potential new witnesses the prosecution may bring forward
  • Whether Diddy’s defense team will call him to the stand
  • And now — the political implications of Trump’s public interest in the case

Sound Off in the Comments:

Should Trump even be discussing a pardon before a verdict is reached?
Do you believe Mia’s story — or do Diddy’s lawyers raise fair doubts?
