Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lit social media on fire Friday after suggesting Donald Trump’s history of sexual abuse allegations could explain why his administration hasn’t released Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous files. Now, the White House is hitting back—and they aren’t holding anything back.
In a fiery statement to TMZ, White House spokesperson Steven Cheung called AOC a “sad, miserable blockhead” and accused her of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“AOC likes to play pretend like she’s from the block, but in reality, she’s just a sad, miserable blockhead who is trying to overcompensate for her lack of self-confidence that has followed her for her entire life,” Cheung said.
“Instead, she should get some serious help for her obvious and severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted her pea-sized brain.”
AOC’s Sharp Words on Epstein Files
The drama began when the New York Congresswoman posted a biting message to X (formerly Twitter) in response to news that the Department of Justice claims there is no Epstein client list.
“Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?” she wrote.
While AOC didn’t mention Trump by name, the implication was clear.
The remark comes as scrutiny over Trump’s ties to the late financier has intensified. Trump was found liable for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll in a 2023 civil trial but was not found liable for rape—a distinction AOC omitted in her post.
Trump’s Legal History Fuels the Fire
The Epstein files controversy heated up earlier this week after Attorney General Pam Bondi said she previously had documents related to Epstein’s alleged client list on her desk. But in a recent press conference, the DOJ claimed no such list exists.
When pressed by journalists about the files, Trump became visibly agitated, fueling speculation online about whether he’s trying to bury the information.
Adding to the tension, Trump recently settled a $15 million lawsuit with ABC News over anchor George Stephanopoulos repeatedly claiming he was found liable for rape—something the court never ruled.
Will Trump Sue AOC?
Interestingly, Cheung’s response to AOC made no mention of legal action, leaving some to wonder whether Trump’s team will let this slide or fire back with another lawsuit.
For now, Trump’s administration is sticking to their story that no Epstein client list exists—but AOC and her supporters aren’t buying it.
Social Media Erupts
AOC’s tweet and the White House’s blistering clapback have triggered a wave of reactions online:
- “AOC is right to call him out. We deserve transparency about Epstein.”
- “This is next-level petty from the White House. Why so defensive?”
- “Both sides are embarrassing themselves. Focus on the facts, not name-calling.”
What’s Next?
As the war of words heats up, questions linger about whether any Epstein-related documents will ever see the light of day—and whether Trump’s team will take legal action against his loudest critics.
