YouTube Star P2istheName Died of Rare Heart Condition, Medical Examiner Confirms
Fans of P2istheName — real name Philip Enewally — are finally getting answers. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released the official cause of death for the beloved 26-year-old YouTuber on Tuesday, confirming he died from sudden cardiac dysfunction caused by solitary papillary muscle hypertrophy, a rare and often undetected heart condition.
This condition is considered a subtype of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is known to increase the risk of sudden, fatal cardiac events, especially in young individuals. The manner of death was ruled natural.
A Sudden and Tragic Loss
P2 was tragically found collapsed in the mailroom of his Los Angeles apartment building on March 14. First responders from the fire department arrived quickly but pronounced him dead at 3:11 PM PT. His autopsy was completed on March 16, and after several weeks of analysis, the results were officially certified and released.
The Medical Examiner’s Office has indicated that a full report will be released publicly at a later date.
