Chloe Bailey is stepping into 2025 with renewed inspiration and exciting plans for her career. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 26-year-old singer, actress, and half of the Grammy-nominated duo Chloe x Halle opened up about her goals for the new year and the personal growth she’s embracing along the way.
Diving Back into Production
Having recently partnered with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, Chloe revealed her excitement to dive deeper into music production. “I’ve been more inspired than ever,” she shared. “In terms of production and drums and synths, it’s like my mind has opened up to a whole new world [after] experiencing different cultures and things like that.”
Chloe emphasized her commitment to her craft, adding, “I’m really excited about getting back into my producer bag pretty deep. I have a lot of exciting things coming up, so I’m just giving my all into those.”
Balancing Ambition and Happiness
Reflecting on her journey, Chloe expressed a desire to strike a balance between her ambitions and personal happiness. “I’m 26, next year I’ll be 27, but I still feel like I am 18 internally,” she said. “The younger part of my years, I took life so seriously, and now I’m at a time when I really want to focus on my happiness while I work really hard towards my goals.”
Highlights of 2024
Looking back on 2024, Chloe highlighted some of her most memorable moments, including the release of her second album, Trouble in Paradise, and traveling the world. “Those are my happiest moments of this year,” she shared. “Any moments that allow me to grow as a human being and expand my mind have been the most memorable.”
Another highlight of the past year has been watching her sister Halle Bailey’s 1-year-old son Halo grow. Chloe credits her nephew for ushering her into her “rich auntie era.” “I definitely feel like I’m allowing myself to feel more of a boss and not take everything so seriously, and I have to give credit to him,” she explained.
Chloe x Halle Reunion on the Horizon
Fans of Chloe x Halle have much to look forward to in 2025. Chloe teased that new music from the duo is on the horizon. “I know [Halle] has a lot going on, and I’m so proud and excited for her, so I cannot wait for us to finally piece together the body of work we’ve been talking about for so long,” she said.
Reflecting on a recent performance at the Fashion Awards, Chloe shared, “We were able to perform together again. It felt so special … and I can’t wait to do that again with another album.”
