Counsel Luyimbazi Elias Nalukoola has called on the National Unity Platform (NUP) leadership to establish a “Hon. Ssegirinya Health Fund” to honor the legacy of the late MP Muhammad Ssegirinya. The proposed fund aims to support the hospital that the deceased had initiated and to uphold his dream of improving the health conditions of the residents in his constituency.
“I urge the National Unity Platform (NUP) leadership to establish the Hon. Ssegirinya Health Fund because it might help maintain the hospital he had set up. It was his dream to treat people, and this will keep his legacy ongoing,” Counsel Nalukoola stated during a prayer session at Kawempe Mbogo Mosque held in memory of the late legislator.
The suggestion has resonated with many, as the late MP was known for his dedication to bettering the lives of his constituents. Establishing such a fund would serve as a meaningful tribute, ensuring that his vision for accessible healthcare in Kawempe continues to benefit the community.
During the same prayer session, another proposal was made to name a road in Kawempe after Hon. Ssegirinya, recognizing his numerous contributions to the residents during his tenure in the 11th Parliament. This initiative, alongside the health fund, reflects the deep admiration and respect the late MP commanded among his colleagues and constituents.
