The violent moment that went viral during a Rüfüs Du Sol concert has finally led to an arrest. Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala was taken into custody Thursday in Pasadena, California, facing multiple charges related to the brutal brawl that shocked fans.

According to Pasadena PD, Zavala was booked on:

    • Felony battery with great bodily injury
    • Felony assault with great bodily injury
    • Misdemeanor battery

The charges stem from the August 16 incident at the Rose Bowl, which left a woman unconscious and stunned concertgoers across the stadium.

    What Happened at the Concert

Video footage of the incident shows Zavala allegedly punching a woman unconscious while Rüfüs Du Sol performed on stage. Law enforcement sources say the altercation began after the woman accidentally spilled a drink on Zavala while walking to her seat.

The victim, who has chosen to remain anonymous, told KTLA that she immediately apologized, but Zavala accused her of doing it on purpose. According to her account, Zavala returned about 30 minutes later, screaming and threatening her before violently attacking her.

    Rüfüs Du Sol Speaks Out

The Australian electronic trio has addressed the shocking incident, calling it “completely unacceptable.” They condemned the violence at their show, emphasizing that fans should feel safe while enjoying their concerts.

The group’s statement also reinforced that the band does not condone or tolerate aggressive behavior and that measures will be taken to ensure concertgoer safety moving forward.

    Viral Video Sparks Outrage

The footage quickly spread online, sparking widespread outrage. Fans expressed shock that such a brutal attack could happen during a music event, with many calling for swift legal action against Zavala.

Social media users and concertgoers alike highlighted the importance of venue security, crowd safety, and accountability in the wake of the viral video.

This isn’t my usual kind of content, but this behavior is abhorrent anywhere — much less at a show. A longtime follower was brutally attacked over an accidentally spilled drink this weekend during Rüfüs Du Sol at the Rose Bowl and needs help identifying this person.
