Dame Dash wants no part of Jay-Z’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, making it clear that he has no intention of attending the highly anticipated performance or reuniting with his former business partner.
During an interview with The Art of Dialogue, the former Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder dismissed the idea of showing up when Jay-Z takes the stage at Super Bowl LXI, scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
“I’m not going. Don’t even call me for the Super Bowl,” Dash said, making his position clear.
Dash co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records alongside Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke. However, his relationship with the Brooklyn rapper has been strained for years, and his latest comments suggest he has little interest in putting their differences aside for the event.
Dame Dash Predicts Beyoncé Could Join Jay-Z
Although Jay-Z has not announced the artists who could join him on stage, Dash predicted that his wife, Beyoncé, would likely be part of the performance.
He also questioned whether Jay-Z could deliver a halftime show with the same impact as some of the NFL’s previous musical spectacles.

Dash specifically pointed to the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, headlined by Dr. Dre, which featured an impressive lineup including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
He argued that Dr. Dre brought together a strong collection of performers to create a memorable show, questioning whether Jay-Z could assemble a similarly compelling lineup.
Dash also suggested that the performance could become an important moment for Jay-Z’s public image, with its reception potentially influencing how audiences view his cultural influence.
Dame Dash Compares Jay-Z’s Live Appeal to Kanye West
The discussion also moved beyond the Super Bowl, with Dash comparing Jay-Z’s live-performance appeal to that of Kanye West.
Dash argued that West has demonstrated an ability to attract large audiences to stadium performances through his fan base, while suggesting that Jay-Z benefits more from corporate support.
His comments reflect his personal assessment of the two artists’ live drawing power rather than independently established comparisons of their commercial performance.
Jay-Z’s involvement with the NFL extends beyond performing. Through Roc Nation, he has played a major role in the league’s entertainment partnership and halftime show production since 2019.
The upcoming Super Bowl LXI performance would mark a major personal milestone if he headlines the show himself.
For now, Dash appears uninterested in being part of the occasion. His remarks add another chapter to the long-running tension between two men who once helped build one of hip-hop’s most influential record labels.
