Kevin Costner Hit With Disturbing New Allegations in Film Set Lawsuit

Kevin Costner’s legal fight with stunt performer Devyn LaBella just escalated, as she filed shocking new details in her ongoing lawsuit against the Hollywood icon.

LaBella — who’s suing for sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation — now claims she was menstruating and that her underwear was exposed when her costume was allegedly torn open during an unscripted rape scene on the set of Horizon 2.

She alleges that while she had no issue filming a scripted rape sequence the day prior, the following day Costner allegedly pushed for a more “unscripted” version — one she says crossed every professional line.

    LaBella’s Disturbing Account

In new legal docs obtained by TMZ, LaBella paints a troubling picture:

    • She claims her pantaloons were ripped from the waist to the crotch, leaving her underwear visible.
    • She says she was “trapped in the tight confines of a covered wagon” during the scene.
    • Actor Roger Ivens, playing a character named Birke, allegedly pinned her with his body, at times climbing over her “on all fours and mounting her.”
    • She says Ivens’ hand made contact with her breast and vaginal areas, and his leg and buttocks were stretched across her body.
    • Critically, she claims the scene was filmed without an intimacy coordinator present, in violation of industry standards.

LaBella argues this crossed the line from acting into real harm — something she calls “outrageous” and “beyond all bounds of decency.”

    Costner’s Legal Response

Costner, 69, has vigorously denied all of LaBella’s claims, previously calling them “absolutely false” and “deeply disappointing.”

    Update – 12:38 PM PT

His powerhouse attorney Marty Singer blasted the latest filing as more of the same:

“This may be a new filing, but it’s really just more of the same old nonsense. These claims are not only groundless, they are ridiculous. There are 12 independent witnesses who confirm that Ms. LaBella’s claims are fabricated. Kevin Costner has been very clear about why he refused to give in to a transparent shakedown. He is determined to stand up and fight for the truth — and we will continue to do so.”

Costner’s legal team also maintains that LaBella’s pantaloons and petticoats remained intact throughout filming.

    The Larger Fallout

The lawsuit has already drawn intense public scrutiny, not only because of the disturbing claims, but also because it centers on one of Costner’s most personal projects. Horizon: An American Saga is his passion project, a sweeping Western epic that he poured years — and millions — into.

If LaBella’s claims move forward, the case could shine an even brighter spotlight on Hollywood’s intimacy protocols and how far productions go to protect performers in sensitive scenes.

    What’s Next

Costner has filed to have the lawsuit dismissed entirely. LaBella, however, shows no signs of backing down — and her latest filing suggests this legal showdown is far from over.

Do you think Kevin Costner can recover his reputation if this lawsuit goes to trial — or will the damage already be done? Sound off below, and keep it locked on TPR for every development.
