Teyana Taylor is proving that her talents extend far beyond the stage. The multi-hyphenate artist—singer, actress, and director—revealed that she and her all-female production company, The Aunties, are the driving force behind NBA YoungBoy’s “Make America Slime Again” tour.
During a livestream with Kai Cenat, Taylor explained the scope of her role:
“Well you know I have an all-female production company called The Aunties. Me and my partner Coco started that company and we creative direct. We creative direct, choreograph, style. It’s like the whole 360, we do everything. So we jumped on the creative for YB.”
Her team handles everything from choreography to styling, ensuring the tour carries Teyana’s signature vision and energy. The tour kicked off earlier this month in Dallas and is set to hit 45 cities across the U.S., featuring guest performances by Offset, NoCap, Toosii, DeeBaby, and EBK Jaaybo.
Balancing Success with Personal Peace
While Taylor is thriving professionally, she’s also embracing stability and love in her personal life. She’s currently dating actor Aaron Pierre, calling the relationship one of the most rewarding experiences she’s ever had.
In a candid interview with Hot 97, she shared why she prioritizes protecting their bond:
“Whatever is going on in the world is not gentle. I want to try something different where I’m not just like, ‘Hey! What’s going on!’ Because people are preying on your downfall. People are preying on the health that you are building. What me and Aaron have is very healthy, gentle, soft, and very kind, sweet, warm, and one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. It’s so safe and I don’t want us to be robbed of that. I am so grateful for him and everything that comes with him.”
Taylor’s focus on nurturing gentle and healthy love reflects a shift in priorities following her divorce from Iman Shumpert, which was finalized earlier this year. That chapter of her life, she explains, made room for personal growth and new beginnings.
From Divorce to New Heights
The divorce from Shumpert, her former NBA star husband, marked the end of a difficult period for Taylor. Yet she’s emerging stronger, channeling her energy into her creative ventures and her relationship with Pierre.
“I’m in a place where I’m focused on joy, growth, and creating experiences that uplift me and the people around me,” Taylor shared in previous interviews.
Her journey illustrates a career and personal life in harmony, as she balances directing high-profile tours with cultivating love and stability.
