Antonio Brown Granted California Travel Amid Attempted Murder Case

Former NFL star Antonio Brown is set to leave Florida for the first time since being arraigned on a second-degree attempted murder charge, TMZ Sports has learned. Brown’s court-approved trip to Southern California is reportedly for a medical examination.

According to court documents, AB’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, filed the motion on Tuesday requesting permission for the journey. The filing emphasized Brown’s compliance since his release:

“Since his release, he has been fully compliant and has adhered to all terms and conditions imposed by the Court,” Eiglarsh wrote.

The motion also noted that Assistant State Attorney Maritza Liriano had no objections to the request, clearing the way for the judge to approve the trip on Wednesday.

Details on the Medical Visit Remain Unknown

The specifics of the medical examination remain unclear. Brown, 37, has previously requested and received court permission to leave his house for other reasons, including business trips to Tampa, all of which were approved without incident.

    The Attempted Murder Case

Brown was charged with second-degree attempted murder following a violent incident at an Adin Ross boxing event in May 2025. Prosecutors allege he tried to kill his former friend, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Natambu.

He was extradited from the United Arab Emirates late last year after a warrant for his arrest was issued. Brown entered a not guilty plea and has since been placed under house arrest — the most lenient form, according to court filings, since his November 2025 appearance.

“He can walk free pre-trial,” sources noted, though potential aggravating factors in the case mean he could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

    AB’s Legal and Public Spotlight

Despite facing serious legal trouble, Antonio Brown has remained in the public eye. Fans and critics alike continue to follow every development in his ongoing legal saga, from courtroom appearances to travel requests like this one.

His California trip, while ostensibly for medical reasons, will likely draw attention given the high-profile nature of his case and his history of legal and personal controversies.

    What’s Next?

As the case unfolds, Brown’s movements and legal strategy will remain under close scrutiny. Whether the medical trip impacts his court proceedings remains to be seen, but it underscores the ongoing drama surrounding one of the NFL’s most polarizing figures.

Stay tuned for more updates on Antonio Brown, his legal battles, and any developments from his California trip!
