Alien Skin Dismisses Meeting with Capt. Mike Mukula as ‘Meaningless’

Ugandan singer Alien Skin has downplayed his meeting with Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) patron Capt. Mike Mukula, claiming they did not engage in any meaningful discussion. The outspoken artist insists that he only takes advice from fellow ghetto youths who have successfully made it in life.

Alien Skin: “I Learned Nothing from Mukula”

Following his highly publicized brawl with Pallaso on New Year’s Eve, Alien Skin met with Capt. Mike Mukula, a prominent figure known for promoting peace and unity among musicians. However, the Fangone Forest singer now says their interaction was unproductive.

“I don’t really have any agenda with him, and I didn’t have much of a meaningful conversation with him. I have never held a sensible conversation with him.”

During an interview with NRG Radio Uganda, Alien Skin (real name Patrick Mulwana) expressed his disinterest in receiving guidance from corporate figures, emphasizing that he only values advice from individuals who have risen from the ghetto and achieved success.

    Rejecting Corporate Advice

Alien Skin dismissed the notion that established figures like Mukula influence his decisions or personal growth.

“People think that those who advise me are from that social class, but I have never had a sensible talk with him. What would we even discuss? I learned nothing from him.”

The singer further challenged his critics by questioning whether the meeting had led to any significant changes in his behavior or discipline.

“What have I changed since meeting him? Am I disciplined now? The only person who can advise me is a fellow muyaye from the ghetto who has made it in life.”

Alien Skin’s Loyalty to the Ghetto

Alien Skin has consistently positioned himself as a voice of the ghetto youth, rejecting conventional industry structures and aligning with those who share his background. His defiant stance has won him both admiration and criticism, making him one of the most polarizing figures in Uganda’s entertainment scene.

While some believe he should embrace mentorship from industry veterans, his comments suggest he is determined to forge his own path—with or without the guidance of figures like Mukula.
