Angelina Jolie is preparing for life outside Los Angeles after selling her longtime home, with the actress and filmmaker still unsure where she will establish her next home base.
A source close to Jolie tells TMZ that she is preparing for a more flexible lifestyle as her children are now adults and living in different places.
Rather than settling immediately in another city, Jolie is expected to spend more time traveling to visit her children while continuing her work around the world.
That includes her foundation work in Cambodia, where she also owns a home.
The shift comes shortly after Jolie sold her historic Los Feliz estate for $24.75 million, ending her ownership of the property she purchased for $24.5 million in 2017.
The mansion was formerly owned by legendary filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, giving Jolie’s L.A. residence a notable Hollywood history of its own.
The sale also marks a change from what was reported about Jolie’s plans last year.
In October 2025, sources told TMZ that Jolie had no plans to leave the United States permanently. At the time, if she did leave Los Angeles, New York City was reportedly viewed as a possible destination, while she was expected to maintain a home base somewhere in the U.S.
Now, with her Los Angeles property sold and her children living independently, Jolie appears to have more freedom to divide her time between family, travel and international projects.
For now, there is no confirmed word on where she will establish a permanent home base next.
