Diddy is reportedly getting some unusual perks behind bars — including massages, special meals and access to contraband alcohol — according to a new NBC News report.
The report, based on photos, videos and interviews with anonymous sources familiar with the situation, describes an alleged VIP-style existence for Sean “Diddy” Combs inside the federal prison at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
According to the sources, Diddy has allegedly had access to a contraband cellphone, which he reportedly used to view nude photos of a former girlfriend.
The sources also claim inmates have provided him with massages and helped with everyday chores, including making his bed, doing laundry and preparing food.
Meals allegedly prepared for the music mogul have included curry chicken, pizza and empanadas, while sources also claimed inmates clean his toilet and bathroom before he uses them.
One anonymous source described the alleged treatment as far outside what they consider normal prison life.
“This is not some normal s*** you see in jail. This is some rich s***. It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy,” the source told NBC News.
The report also alleges Diddy has obtained antidepressants from other inmates and had access to high-end liquor allegedly smuggled into the facility by guards.
One inmate claimed to have consumed Hennessy with Diddy, telling NBC, “Hell yeah, I drank with him.”
Sources further alleged that Diddy has spent thousands of dollars on commissary accounts belonging to inmates who provide him with assistance, with financial help allegedly coming from people outside the prison.
He is also reportedly receiving a large amount of fan mail, with other inmates allegedly helping him store it.
Diddy’s representative, Juda Engelmayer, pushed back on the report, saying the media has focused too heavily on “every mundane detail” of the rapper’s prison life.
“The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal,” Engelmayer told TMZ.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His projected release date was recently moved up again.
The allegations about his treatment inside Fort Dix have not been independently established, and the Bureau of Prisons has not been cited as confirming the specific claims in the report.
