50 Cent Sues to Block ‘SkillHouse’ Release, Demands $5 Million Over Missing Contract

50 Cent Sues to Block ‘SkillHouse’ Release, Claims No Final Contract Was Signed

50 Cent is heading to court to protect his brand — and his wallet.

The rapper and entertainment mogul, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has filed a lawsuit to block the release of the upcoming horror movie SkillHouse, arguing that he never finalized an agreement to officially appear in or co-produce the film.

Although 50 Cent is listed as both a star actor and co-producer, he claims there was no signed contract between him and producer Ryan Kavanaugh, and that his name and image were used without proper authorization.

50 Cent: No Signature, No Deal

According to court documents, Jackson says he and Kavanaugh only outlined a rough deal — but never formalized it in writing.
Despite that, SkillHouse was filmed in 2022, and promotional materials have heavily featured 50 Cent’s name and likeness, creating the public impression that he was fully onboard.

The lawsuit reveals that 50 Cent would not have participated in the project without creative control — a key point of negotiation that was never officially resolved.

Now, the Power creator is demanding $5 million in damages and a full halt to the movie’s release.

50 Cent Speaks Out on Social Media

After the lawsuit went public, 50 Cent wasted no time addressing the situation online.

In a pointed Instagram post, he wrote:

“I didn’t get paid. I’m afraid I’m gonna need that by Monday. You already know the vibes!”

He also took direct aim at Kavanaugh last week, blasting him on social media:

“They can’t release this MOVIE SKILL HOUSE without my signature which they do not have. What kinda business are they doing? I’d hate to have to demonstrate.”

50’s comments suggest he’s fully prepared to escalate the situation if necessary — a warning fans and industry insiders are taking seriously, given his track record.

Producer Ryan Kavanaugh Has Yet to Respond

As of now, Ryan Kavanaugh has not publicly responded to 50 Cent’s lawsuit or his social media accusations.

Kavanaugh, a controversial figure in Hollywood known for his past financial troubles and legal battles, was banking on SkillHouse to launch a new horror franchise.
However, the project now faces serious uncertainty with 50 Cent seeking to block the movie’s release entirely.

Will SkillHouse Still Release on July 11th?

SkillHouse was originally slated to hit theaters on July 11th.

However, with the lawsuit unfolding, that release date is now in jeopardy.
Depending on how the court rules — or if a settlement is reached — the film could face delays, distribution issues, or even a total cancellation.

This legal dispute marks yet another rocky chapter in the relationship between 50 Cent and Kavanaugh, with tensions between the two escalating over the past year.

    50 Cent Protects His Brand

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has taken swift legal action to protect his name, image, and business interests.

Over the past few years, the G-Unit mogul has successfully sued or countersued multiple companies and individuals over unauthorized use of his likeness, slander, and breach of contract.

With a multi-million dollar empire that spans music, television, film, and spirits, 50 Cent has made it clear he won’t hesitate to take things to court if he feels his brand is being exploited.

As the situation with SkillHouse develops, fans will be watching closely to see whether 50 Cent — once again — proves himself a formidable force both inside and outside the courtroom.
