Rock, a polarizing figure often criticized for her legal troubles and recent allegations of smoking while pregnant, appeared on Reese’s podcast, sparking a wave of backlash online. However, Reese was quick to shut down her critics.

While some fans appreciated the candid conversation, others were less supportive. Many questioned why Reese would give a platform to someone with such a controversial reputation. Critics resurfaced allegations against Rock, including accusations of drinking and smoking during pregnancy, while others aimed their frustration directly at Reese.
This isn’t the first time Reese has faced criticism over her podcast’s guest selections. In March 2025, she caused a stir by announcing a planned interview with rapper DaBaby, who had previously made inflammatory remarks about women and the LGBTQ+ community during a 2021 performance. After facing backlash, Reese and her team decided to pull the promotional post and never aired the interview.

Despite the noise surrounding her podcast, Reese remains committed to her basketball career. Following an impressive rookie season with the Chicago Sky that was cut short by injury, she averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, earning an All-Star nod and finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Caitlin Clark.
