“When my mother took me to join the group, I found a lot of boys there, and they would watch football a lot. I had no choice but to watch what they were watching.”

Among the people who introduced her to the sport, one person played a crucial role—Kaddu, a passionate Manchester United supporter. At that time, Manchester United was one of the most dominant football teams.
“Those were the days of Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, and Ronaldo. I think that’s also when we had Van Persie from Arsenal… it was a deadly team, and I saw other teams were weak.”
Watching United’s thrilling performances under Sir Alex Ferguson, Azawi became completely captivated by the team. The fast-paced action, legendary players, and historic victories made her an unwavering Red Devils supporter.
