NFL legend Brett Favre is scratching his head over one part of Aaron Rodgers’ Hall of Fame career … how a quarterback this good has only one Super Bowl ring to show for it.

The former Green Bay Packers star sat down with TMZ Sports this week to break down Rodgers’ impressive Pittsburgh Steelers debut, and while he couldn’t stop raving about Rodgers’ play, he admitted he’s baffled by the lack of hardware on his former teammate’s mantle.

Favre: “I’m Surprised He Hasn’t Won More”

“What I’m most surprised by,” Favre said while reflecting on Rodgers’ NFL career, “is he hasn’t won more Super Bowls, as prolific as he’s been.”

It’s a sentiment that many NFL fans and analysts share. Rodgers has long been considered one of the most talented quarterbacks in league history, but his postseason success hasn’t matched the consistency of his regular-season dominance.

    Rodgers Shines in Steelers Debut

If Week 1 was any indication, though, Rodgers isn’t slowing down. In his first game as a Pittsburgh Steeler, Rodgers completed 22 of 30 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns, leading his team to a statement win over his former squad, the New York Jets.

Favre said he wasn’t surprised by Rodgers’ performance.

“The guy, and I’ve said this since Day One, he can still play,” Favre told us. “He can spin it with the best of them. The age is just a number.”

    The Long Road to Pittsburgh

Rodgers’ move to Pittsburgh marked one of the most dramatic off-season shifts in recent NFL history. After a turbulent end to his time with the Jets, Rodgers found new life in black and gold — and his first outing silenced any doubts about whether he could still perform at an elite level at age 41.

Now, all eyes are on him as the Steelers prepare for their home opener this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Favre Reflects on Tyler Sash and Concussions in the NFL

While Rodgers’ debut dominated the headlines, Favre also took time to reflect on a subject close to his heart: player health and safety.

Tuesday marked the 10-year anniversary of the death of Tyler Sash, a former New York Giants safety who was featured alongside Favre in the documentary Concussed: The American Dream. The film shed light on the devastating consequences of repeated head trauma in the NFL.

Favre remembered Sash fondly, using the moment to once again stress the importance of raising awareness about concussions and their long-term impact.

“People need to pay attention,” Favre emphasized, underscoring his ongoing commitment to ensuring the next generation of players has more protection than those who came before.

    Rodgers’ Legacy: More to Come?

With Rodgers proving he can still dominate in Year 20, the big question remains: will he finally add another Super Bowl ring to his resume?

Favre believes the talent is still there — and so do Steelers fans, who are already buzzing about a potential deep playoff run.

One thing is for sure: Rodgers’ journey in Pittsburgh is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about storylines of the NFL season.
