Cardi B has taken her catalogue from arena stages to NPR’s intimate office setting, making her debut on the popular Tiny Desk Concert series with a live performance spanning her biggest hits and newer material.
The Grammy-winning rapper delivered the set on Monday, backed by a full live band. Dressed in a suit jacket and latex pants, Cardi kept the look coordinated with her musicians’ all-black outfits as she opened with “Hello” before moving into “ErrTime.”
The performance offered a different setting for the Bronx native, whose stage presence and humour remained part of the show even without a massive concert stage.
Cardi B Mixes Hits With Personal Tracks
Cardi moved through songs including “Man of Your Word” and “Be Careful,” bringing a more reflective tone to parts of the set before shifting the energy back toward her biggest anthems.
Between performances, she also delivered the candid humour fans have come to expect, joking about her rider requirements and smoking habits.
“Let me get some water,” she quipped during a brief break.
The atmosphere changed as Cardi called for the vibes to shift, setting up a run of crowd-pleasing tracks that highlighted different eras of her career.
Among the songs performed were “Up,” the 2017 breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” and “AH HA,” which the source identifies as a 2026 single. She closed with “I Like It,” the Diamond-certified hit that became one of the defining records of her career.
‘Am I The Drama?’ Era Continues
The Tiny Desk appearance also gave Cardi an opportunity to bring music from her latest album, Am I The Drama?, into the live-band setting.
The performance arrives during a busy stretch for the rapper. She turned 34 on October 11 and, according to the source report, has also contributed a track titled “Don’t Chart” to the Grand Theft Auto VI soundtrack.
Cardi has begun teasing work on her third studio album, which she hopes to release in 2027. That timeline remains a stated goal rather than a confirmed release date.
Cardi B Set for Billboard Canada Honour
Cardi is also scheduled to attend the Billboard Canada Women in Music ceremony in Toronto on November 24, where the source says she will receive the inaugural Global Woman of the Year award.
Her Tiny Desk debut adds another live performance to a career built on chart success, outspoken personality and a distinctive stage presence.
By pairing familiar hits with newer material and a live band, Cardi brought her music into a more intimate setting while keeping the personality that has helped make her one of hip-hop’s most recognizable stars.
