Pusha T and Malice are keeping it real and tasty on tour. Before hitting the stage with Kendrick Lamar during their nationwide Clipse tour, the legendary Virginia duo stopped at Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Burger in Los Angeles — and TMZ Hip Hop has the exclusive details.
A source at the burger joint confirmed that Pusha T went all-in for the Marathon Burger combo, featuring two wagyu beef patties, grilled onions, Fresno peppers, house-made pickles, American cheese, ketchup, mustard, and secret sauce — all on a toasted brioche bun. Of course, it came with a side of fries.
Big brother Malice kept it classic with the OG Standard combo, which included fresh red onions, romaine lettuce, and sliced tomatoes alongside the two wagyu patties. Both MCs paired their meals with the restaurant’s signature Blue Lemonade, proving they know how to enjoy a proper feast before a big show.
Honoring Nipsey Hussle’s Legacy
While at Marathon Burger, the duo connected with Sam Asghedom, Nipsey Hussle’s brother and CEO of the restaurant, along with Complex magazine’s Director of Community Development, Upscale Vandal. The visit wasn’t just about grabbing a meal — it was a tribute to Nipsey’s legacy.
In a March interview, Sam explained the vision behind Marathon Burger:
“I think [the] Marathon brand, [which] was created by Hussle to inspire and motivate… It just means to keep going. It’s not a race; it’s a pace,” he said. “Anything that we can continue doing in that spirit is always a blessing.”
The restaurant is more than just a spot to eat; it’s a community hub and a living tribute to Nipsey, who tragically passed away in 2019 outside his Marathon Clothing store in L.A.
Clipse Brings the Heat on Stage
Later that night, Pusha T and Malice joined Kendrick Lamar for an explosive live set, performing tracks from Clipse’s critically acclaimed album, “Let God Sort Em Out.” The Virginia natives didn’t just bring hits — they brought heart and homage, dedicating “Birds Don’t Sing” to their parents, a moment noted for its sincerity by comedian Bill Burr.
On his Monday Morning Podcast, Burr recalled:
“To the Nokia Theater (The Novo). I smoked some weed and dude, it was f*ckin’ unbelievable. The energy was like a legendary rock concert… and the tribute to their parents? That hit deep. You could see the love and respect — they’re standup folks.”
Fans and critics alike agree — Clipse’s L.A. stop was a tour highlight, with the combination of raw performance energy and heartfelt moments making it unforgettable.
Food, Family, and Hip-Hop Legacy
From Marathon Burger meals to iconic stage moments, the trip proves that Clipse isn’t just about music — it’s about community, legacy, and paying respect to the people and culture that shaped them. Pusha T and Malice showed that even on the road, they never forget their roots.
“Anything we do in the spirit of Nipsey’s Marathon brand is always a blessing,” a source close to the duo told TMZ Hip Hop.
Whether it’s wagyu burgers, stage domination, or heartfelt tributes, Clipse continues to cement their status as hip-hop legends while honoring those who came before them.
