Dr. Sharon Okello Nagenjwa has made history after being awarded the prestigious Diamond Jubilee Medal by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for her outstanding service and unwavering commitment to Uganda. At just 32 years old, Dr. Okello became the youngest recipient of the esteemed medal, which was presented during the International Women’s Day celebrations held in Kyankwanzi yesterday.

Dr. Sharon Okello is widely recognized for her contributions to women’s empowerment, mental health advocacy, and financial development initiatives across Uganda. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Triumph Women Initiative Uganda, an organization dedicated to providing counseling and guidance to women dealing with trauma, helping them heal and rebuild their lives.
Additionally, she serves as the Executive Director of the Northern Uganda Women’s Network for Business Development (NUWEBIZ), a platform that supports women from diverse backgrounds, equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to achieve financial independence and economic growth. Through NUWEBIZ, she has empowered countless women by offering business training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them thrive in various industries.
