LL COOL J Blends Music, Art, and Skateboarding in Exclusive Collaboration

LL COOL J is celebrating his acclaimed 2024 album, The FORCE, with a groundbreaking partnership with THE SKATEROOM to release a line of limited-edition skate decks and triptychs. The collection is described as a fusion of music, art, and skateboarding, paying tribute to LL COOL J’s legacy with bold graphics inspired by the album’s artwork.

What makes this collaboration even more special is LL COOL J’s personal touch. Each piece in the collection has been signed and numbered by the hip-hop legend, making it a must-have for collectors.

A portion of the proceeds from the collection will support the skateboarding community by funding NGOs, building new skateparks, and creating programs to help young skaters.

LL COOL J on Breaking Boundaries

In an official statement, LL COOL J shared his excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing its cultural significance.

ā€œSkateboarding, music, and art are about breaking boundaries and rewriting the rules,ā€ he said. ā€œCollaborating with THE SKATEROOM on these limited-edition decks honors The FORCE and the culture that made me while sparking the next wave of creativity. These decks are for those bold enough to push what’s possible and make their mark. Let’s ride.ā€

LL also announced the collaboration on Instagram, writing, ā€œI’m bringing hip-hop, skating, and art together like never before. These limited-edition FORCE skate decks with @theskateroom are something special. They’re authentic, iconic, and straight from the heart. Each one comes with my signature and a certificate of authenticity. Only a few out there. Hit the link in the bio.ā€

A Landmark Year for LL COOL J

The skate deck release is another milestone in what has been a banner year for LL COOL J. In September, the Queens legend dropped The FORCE, his first album in over a decade, produced entirely by Q-Tip. The album features appearances from hip-hop heavyweights like Snoop Dogg, Nas, and Eminem, cementing LL’s position as a pioneer in the genre.

In interviews, LL shared how the process of creating the album pushed him to rediscover his craft. ā€œIt’s like a director going back to film school after he’s had blockbusters or Denzel going back to acting class,ā€ he explained.

In addition to his musical resurgence, LL COOL J recently reflected on his influence in hip-hop. ā€œOne day, people are going to realize that LL COOL J is the most important rapper that ever existed,ā€ he boldly stated. ā€œI truly believe that.ā€

    Final Thoughts

With the release of The FORCE and his innovative skate deck collaboration, LL COOL J continues to bridge cultural gaps and redefine what it means to be an artist. Whether through music, mentorship, or art, the hip-hop icon remains a trailblazer, inspiring future generations to ā€œpush what’s possible.ā€
