A piece of NFL history involving Marshawn Lynch is now available to the highest bidder—his 2009 drug test results letter has hit the auction block!
The letter, issued by Dr. Lawrence S. Brown, a medical advisor to the NFL, notified Lynch that he had tested positive for marijuana while playing for the Buffalo Bills in his third season.
A Rare Piece of “Beast Mode” Memorabilia
The letter, dated April 13, 2009, is printed on official NFL letterhead and comes sealed in an envelope stamped “CONFIDENTIAL.” Despite the failed test, Lynch was not suspended and went on to cement his legacy as a Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks.
The document is part of an auction hosted by Lelands, which also features a Babe Ruth signed baseball and a rare Michael Jordan card. While those may fetch higher bids, the Lynch letter is one of the most unique pieces in the collection.
How Much Will It Sell For?
The starting bid is set at $300, and bidding closes on Saturday night. Given Lynch’s cult status in the NFL, this piece of memorabilia could skyrocket in value.
