However, the dream of raising their child together was shattered when Hailey tragically passed away after suffering an amniotic embolism — a rare and severe complication during childbirth in which the amniotic fluid enters the bloodstream, causing damage to multiple organs. This sudden and devastating condition took Hailey’s life, leaving Matthew to navigate life with their newborn son alone.
