LiAngelo Ball, better known as Gelo, is confident he can outshine Cam’ron both on the mic and the court.

Gelo Fires Back at Cam’ron

In a recent interview with Speedy Morman for 360 with Speedy, the former Charlotte Hornets player revisited his ongoing feud with the Dipset icon. Months after their initial exchange, Gelo made it clear he isn’t backing down.

“That don’t bother me,” he said, referring to Cam’ron’s earlier comments about him potentially playing overseas. “I just address it because I’m not about to get punked for nothing. They don’t know me at all.” He didn’t hold back when comparing their talents, adding, “I think I rap better than him. Basketball? I’m better than all of them.”

Morman didn’t argue, acknowledging Gelo’s deep-rooted experience in the game. Still, Gelo insisted he wasn’t trying to start unnecessary drama. “I’m not online saying, ‘I’m better than Cam’ron,’ but that’s how I feel,” he explained. “That’s their legend. I’m not disrespecting.”

Origins of the Feud

The tension between them began months before Gelo’s viral hit Tweaker took over social media. Cam’ron had previously taken shots at him on It Is What It Is, downplaying his career and suggesting he only had a platform because of his father, LaVar Ball. “I only know you because your father’s a great marketer,” Cam’ron said. “I wouldn’t know you if it wasn’t for LaVar.”

Gelo Clarifies Def Jam Deal Rumors

During his chat with Morman, Gelo also set the record straight on rumors of a $13 million deal with Def Jam. “I own all my music,” he said. “I told them, ‘I’m here for real, not for the games.’ You know how the music industry gets, so I locked in. My team helped me put the best deal together.”

He shrugged off speculation about the contract’s value, joking that he walked away with “at least 10 bucks”—a playful nod that likely meant $10 million.

Upcoming Performances and New Music

Gelo is set to perform at Rolling Loud California in March, joining a lineup that includes Playboi Carti, Sexyy Red, and A$AP Rocky. If all goes as planned, fans might finally get their hands on the long-awaited Tweaker (Remix) before the festival.
