Megan Thee Stallion’s legal troubles continue to make headlines as a former cameraman’s lawsuit advances in court. Judge Woods has ruled that the case, filed by Emilio Garcia in April 2024, contains enough evidence to proceed despite fierce denials from Megan’s team.
Garcia alleges that Megan engaged in a sexual encounter with another woman in front of him inside an SUV, before body-shaming him and throwing a remote control at his head. These claims have been strongly contested by Megan’s legal representatives, who previously branded Garcia a “con artist.”

Megan’s legal team has called the lawsuit “entirely fabricated,” describing Garcia’s allegations as:

Despite their objections, Judge Woods ruled that Garcia’s case includes “sufficient facts” to support continued litigation.

According to court documents, Garcia, who identifies as gay, claims the alleged sexual encounter in the Ibiza SUV created a hostile work environment based on his sexual orientation.
Judge Woods explained:
“Plaintiff asks the court to draw the inference that ‘Pete would not have engaged in group sex with other women in front of a heterosexual male’; that ‘Pete felt comfortable engaging in group sex with other women in front of plaintiff because of plaintiff’s sexuality and gender.’ This is not an unreasonable inference to draw from the facts alleged.”
The judge concluded Garcia had “plausibly pleaded” that he experienced inferior working conditions as a result of his sexual orientation.

In addition to harassment claims, Garcia alleges he suffered retaliation after raising concerns about the Ibiza incident. He says his work hours and payments were cut before he was ultimately fired and blackballed from the entertainment industry.
Judge Woods stated:
“These facts raise a reasonable inference that material terms and conditions of plaintiff’s employment were altered in retaliation for speaking up about the Ibiza incident.”
As a result, the court declined to dismiss the claims against both Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation.
