Britney Spears Sparks Chaos on Plane, Leaves Calm and Smiling

Britney Spears may have caused a stir on her flight back to Los Angeles from Mexico, but the pop icon didn’t seem fazed when she walked off the plane—despite a reported in-air outburst that had Customs officials talking.

TMZ obtained body cam footage from the May incident, showing Britney casually waving to officers on the tarmac after landing at LAX.

According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer, Spears was “very nice and compliant” but appeared to have skipped her medication that day.

“We get her all the time… today she obviously didn’t take her meds. She’s being very compliant, very nice, so to me right now, it’s all good,” the officer said in the video.

What Went Down on Britney’s Wild Flight?

Multiple sources revealed that Britney, 42, allegedly had a few drinks onboard and then tried to light a cigarette after the plane landed—a major no-no on commercial flights.

Flight attendants reportedly stopped her before she could spark up and gave her a stern warning. While Britney allegedly complied, insiders described her as being “difficult” during the journey.

Body Cam Footage Shows Calm Britney

The body cam video, however, shows a surprisingly calm Spears strolling away from the plane, sunglasses on, and even flashing a quick wave at officers.

Unlike the disheveled photos captured by passengers earlier in the flight—where sunscreen was smeared on her arms and she appeared to be in a heated exchange with a crew member—Britney seemed composed as she left the airport.

    Britney’s Side of the Story

Britney later claimed she didn’t think she was breaking any rules.

“Someone told me I could smoke, so I believed them,” she reportedly told friends, adding that she felt the flight attendants “didn’t like her from the start” and were looking for a reason to scold her.

Fans React to Britney’s Plane Drama

The incident has reignited debate among Britney’s fanbase and critics alike:

???? “Leave her alone. She’s been through enough and wasn’t hurting anyone.”

???? “This is why people were worried about ending the conservatorship. She clearly needs help.”

???? “Britney being Britney… iconic and chaotic as ever.”

    Not the First In-Flight Incident

This isn’t Britney’s first brush with airplane drama. Over the years, the Toxic singer has been involved in several minor in-flight squabbles, though none have led to formal charges or bans.

Still, airline staff are reportedly briefed ahead of time whenever Spears boards a flight, according to one aviation insider.

“Britney’s name always raises eyebrows for the crew. They’re told to keep a watchful eye.”

What’s Next for the Pop Princess?

For now, Britney remains focused on her personal projects, often sharing videos of herself dancing or hanging out at home on Instagram. While the in-flight drama raised concerns, the singer’s ability to walk away smiling suggests she’s not letting critics or headlines get to her.

???? Do you think Britney deserves a pass for her in-flight antics, or is it time for her to face tougher consequences? Sound off in the comments!
