???? Raekwon’s Weed Dispensary Shut Down Amid Bitter Legal Battle—Fans Stunned!

Wu-Tang Clan legend Raekwon is facing a major setback in his entrepreneurial ventures. Just as fans were celebrating the release of his new album “Emperor’s New Clothes”, the rapper’s highly publicized cannabis dispensary, HashStoria, has been forced to shut down amid an ugly rent dispute—and the drama is spilling over into the courts.

???? “We Were Hoodwinked!” Raekwon Breaks Silence on Closure

The rapper told TMZ Hip Hop in an exclusive statement:

“We were hoodwinked, and while it’s a very sad outcome, we will have our day in court!”

HashStoria, which opened in November 2024 in Newark, was meant to be a groundbreaking venture for the Grammy-nominated artist. Marketed as a Black-owned business in a booming cannabis market, the dispensary quickly became a symbol of empowerment in communities often excluded from the industry.

But now, that dream has turned into a nightmare.

⚖️ The Legal Showdown: Landlord vs. Raekwon

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a New Jersey judge sided with landlord BMHC LLC, ruling that HashStoria must vacate the premises by July 1, 2025, due to failure to pay rent.

The landlord claims they gave Raekwon and his team ample time to catch up on payments after the dispensary’s grand opening but received no C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) in return.

“We stand by the court’s decision and are already fielding offers from other potential dispensaries,” BMHC LLC said in a statement.

???? HashStoria Fights Back: “Landlord Poisoned Our Business”

Raekwon’s camp isn’t staying quiet. A spokesperson for HashStoria revealed plans to sue the landlord, accusing them of sabotaging the dispensary from the start.

    They allege:

✅ The landlord agreed to prorate back rent while the building was under construction but later reneged on the deal.
✅ Permit delays caused by the City of Newark prevented them from opening on time, leaving them with zero revenue for months.
✅ BMHC LLC allowed an unlicensed dispensary to operate next door, which was raided multiple times by authorities.

In a bold PR move, HashStoria even created the slogan “Legal AF” as a jab at their landlord’s alleged corruption.

“Communities aren’t owned by people of color and have to deal with constant red tape,” HashStoria’s rep added, highlighting systemic barriers for minority-owned cannabis businesses.

    ???? What’s Next for Raekwon’s Team?

Employees are reportedly being paid out of their vacation time as HashStoria grinds to a halt. The closure is a crushing blow to a million-dollar operation that promised to uplift the local community and set an example for equitable cannabis ownership.

But Raekwon isn’t folding. The rapper and his legal team are preparing to take BMHC LLC to court in hopes of reviving HashStoria—or at least getting justice for what they call a “poisoned” business relationship.

    ???? Back to the Music

While the legal drama plays out, Raekwon is staying active in the music world. He’s reportedly back in the studio with Nas, Griselda, and his iconic group Wu-Tang Clan. Fans can expect new heat as the rapper focuses on what he does best: slanging dope lyrics.

????️ Fans React: “This Can’t Be Happening!”

Social media erupted after news of HashStoria’s shutdown broke. Fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) with mixed emotions:

???? “First the album drop, now this? Stay strong, Chef!”
???? “Why are Black-owned businesses always hit the hardest?”
???? “That landlord sounds shady AF. Hope Rae wins in court!”

    ???? What’s Your Take?

Do you think Raekwon’s landlord is at fault—or should the rapper have paid up? ????

???? Drop your thoughts below and stay tuned for more exclusive updates on Raekwon and HashStoria!
