Diddy Could Face Prison — But His Lawyer’s Pushing for Home Confinement & Intensive Therapy

Sean “Diddy” Combs may be staring down up to three years of confinement — but his legal team is working on a bold plan to keep the music mogul out of a prison cell.

Instead, they’re hoping the judge will let him serve his sentence from the comfort of his own home … with a strict therapy program aimed at addressing what his lawyer calls long-standing “deficits” in his life.

The Clock Is Ticking on Diddy’s Sentencing

According to Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lead defense attorney, the hip-hop icon is fully aware he’s in serious legal jeopardy. The court could hand down a sentence of one to three years — and while traditional prison time is on the table, Agnifilo says there’s another path.

    Home confinement.

“Prisons aren’t equipped to provide the kind of help Sean needs,” Agnifilo told TMZ, pointing to therapy for anger management and substance abuse as his client’s top priorities.

A Plan for Redemption — From the Inside or the Outside

While Agnifilo admits asking for home confinement is still just a “possibility,” he’s already piecing together an outside team of mental health and addiction specialists who could work with Diddy daily.

That means even if the judge insists on prison time, his attorney plans to push for therapy to be a mandatory condition of supervised release once Diddy’s sentence is complete.

Diddy’s Own Words: “I Need Help”

Behind the headlines, Agnifilo says his client has been deeply reflective.

“Sean has told me he knows he needs therapy,” Agnifilo explained. “He’s lived with certain deficits his entire adult life, and he wants to use this time — however it’s served — to work on himself.”

This admission comes as a rare moment of vulnerability for the Bad Boy Records founder, who’s built a decades-long career projecting power, success, and unshakable confidence.

    What’s Next

The full interview with Marc Agnifilo airs Friday on “TMZ Live” and will also stream on YouTube. That’s where viewers will get an unfiltered look at how Diddy’s legal team plans to argue their case in court — and whether they can convince a judge to swap prison bars for the boundaries of his $35 million Star Island mansion.

Do you think Diddy should be allowed to serve his sentence at home with therapy, or should he face full prison time? Sound off in the comments — TPR wants to hear your take.
