Brooke Hogan Skips Hulk Hogan’s Funeral: “He Hated Funerals”

In a deeply personal and emotional social media post, Brooke Hogan opened up about her decision not to attend her father Hulk Hogan’s funeral, revealing that it was a choice made out of love and respect for what she believes he wanted.

Honoring Hulk Hogan the Way He Wanted

Posting on Instagram Tuesday night, Brooke shared heartfelt reflections on her dad’s dislike for the somber atmosphere funerals often bring.

“My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want one. And although I know people grieve in many ways — and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him — as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how… privately… the way that made me feel the closest to him.”

Rather than attending the public memorial service held in Florida, which was attended by wrestling legends and celebrities like Triple H, Kid Rock, Ric Flair, Vince McMahon, and Dennis Rodman, Brooke chose to celebrate Hulk’s life in a more intimate way.

A Beach Day With Family: The Ultimate Tribute

Brooke honored her father by taking her husband Steven and their 7-month-old twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, to the beach — a place Hulk loved dearly.

In a touching series of photos accompanying her message, Brooke shared moments of the family enjoying the ocean, watching the waves and sunset — a peaceful scene reminiscent of how Hulk would spend his time.

“The only thing missing today was Hulk in his pop-up lawn chair while watching the waves and the sunset,” Brooke wrote.

She also shared a sweet insight into her daughter Molly’s nickname, hoping she will carry on Hulk’s affectionate name for Brooke — “little fish.”

Brooke’s Reflections and Love for Her Father

Her moving tribute closes with a prayer and a declaration of love:

“Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you. Rest in heaven, Daddy ❤️.”

Behind the Scenes: Questions and Suspicions

Earlier in the day, Brooke spoke candidly on Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio show, expressing some suspicions about certain circumstances surrounding Hulk Hogan’s passing. Though she didn’t elaborate publicly, it revealed that her grieving process includes many layers of emotion and reflection.

The Public Memorial and Celebrity Tributes

The public memorial was a star-studded affair that gathered iconic figures from the wrestling world and beyond, underscoring Hulk Hogan’s massive impact on pop culture and sports entertainment.

Despite the grandeur of the event, Brooke’s choice to grieve privately highlights the deeply personal ways families cope with loss, especially when a loved one’s wishes are known and respected.

    Final Thoughts

Brooke Hogan’s heartfelt message gives fans a window into the private side of her mourning and how she chooses to honor a legendary father in a way that feels authentic and healing.
